So I went to the Brooklyn Flea Market in Philly on Sunday and they had some super cute and unique things there. I have never seen so many typewriters in one place before, it was seriously a hipsters heaven. If Etsy had it’s own warehouse this would be it.

One thing I did notice was the amount of vintage clothing. There were racks and racks of it. My biggest problem with this was that everything was between $50 and $80 or higher for each piece of clothing. And honestly, I really believe that the people selling the clothes were going to thrift stores, bought a floral romper for $5 and then called it vintage and sold it for $80. No one has that much vintage clothing from their grandmas closet, impossible. I wish I could do something like that. Buy mad cheap clothing and then call it vintage and resell it for $80 but I just don’t have the heart.

I have acquired a couple history books I was unable to sell back this semester and I was wondering if anyone would like them. They are pretty interesting.

I have two pop culture type books:

Amusing the Million: Coney Island at the Turn of the Century by John F. Kasson

Popular Culture in American History edited by Jim Cullen which is a collection of articles about all different facets of pop culture.

And two books about East Asian history:

Life Along the Silk Road by Susan Whitfield

Celebrated Cases of Judge Dee

And a textbook on hate crimes:

Hate Crimes Causes, Controls, and Controversies (2nd ed.)by Phyllis B. Gerstenfeld

If anyone wants them just message me and I will ship them to you. Preferably in the US since shipping books to other countries gets expensive, but I’ll consider it.

You know whats really ridiculous? My mother asks me and my brother to make her dinner for a belated Mother’s Day thing, then when I ask her what she wants, not specifically but like pasta, casserole, etc. she’s like I don’t want a say! You two want to make me dinner so you two talk about it!
